June 2024 - Send Bulk Invites, Improvements to the activity log & Dynamic Star Ratings

 

We are excited to share the latest updates and improvements to our performance evaluation software. Many of you know that for the last 4 years, we've had 1.5 developers working on the system, and we are happy to announce that we have 4 new developers on the tech team. With this expanded team, we are now able to conduct 2-week sprints, allowing us to deliver enhancements and new features more frequently. This sprint, we’ve focused on enhancing navigation, usability, and overall efficiency to ensure a smoother experience for you. Below are the key features and enhancements included in this release:

Key Features and Enhancements:

1. Enhanced Admin Actions on People Page
   1. A new split button combines all admin actions at the top of the People page, under the "Manage People" dropdown. A new option, “Send Bulk Employee Invite,” has been added, allowing you to invite all uninvited users with a single click.
2. Improved Navigation in Evaluation Schedule Creation
   1. When creating an evaluation schedule, the page now automatically scrolls to the top when clicking "Next" or "Previous," eliminating the need for manual scrolling and ensuring a smoother workflow.
3. Enhanced Navigation for Check-Ins
   1. A "Back" button has been added for HR Admins and Managers when viewing or creating check-ins. This button, located at the top left of the page, will take you back to the /check-ins page, streamlining your navigation.
4. Restriction on Evaluation Period for Schedules
   1. Users can no longer set New Hire or Anniversary schedules to exceed 365 days. If a period greater than 365 days is entered, a warning message will prompt users to adjust the date range to be less than 365 days, ensuring consistent and manageable evaluation periods.
5. URL Filtering for Evaluations Page
   1. When applying filters by schedule, person, manager, etc., these filter values are now added to the URL parameters. If the page is reloaded or revisited with these URL parameters, the filters will automatically be applied, maintaining your workflow continuity.
6. Improved Validation for Goal Activity Log Comments
   1. Comments are now limited to a maximum of 500 characters, empty comments with only space characters are not allowed, and leading spaces are automatically removed. These validations ensure meaningful and well-formatted comments in the activity log.
7. Dynamic Star Ratings for Check-Ins
   1. The stars in the rating section will now change color based on the selected value:
      1. 1-2 Stars: Red
      2. 3 Stars: Yellow
      3. 4-5 Stars: 
   2. This visual cue helps users quickly interpret the ratings, making the evaluation process more intuitive.
